Stourbridge runners excelled at the marathon in Cardiff last weekend with Matthew Radon achieving his goal of completing the run in under three hours.
The fine performance saw the Wollaston athlete cross the line in 2:56 while fellow runner James Douglas completed the course in 3:15.
In the half marathon Simon Link was the first Stourbridge runner home timed at 1:18.
Link admitted the effects of a recent illness had hit his finishing time He said: "I would like to have run quicker but I'm getting over the effects of a heavy cold."
Brierley Hill's Antony Homer was next to finish also timed at 1:18.
He said: "I was slowed down at the start otherwise I could have finished with a quicker time."
Another Wollaston resident, Jayne Gardner, was happy with her time of 1:46.
She said: "I'm pleased with my efforts as I have not done that much running lately, it was a good course and finishing in the Millennium Stadium was quite exciting."
Two other Stourbridge runners, Tim and Andrew Gardner, are off to Majorca this weekend to compete in the Palma half marathon.
