KINDHEARTED customers from Dudley Building Society have kicked off Mary Stevens Hospice annual Tree of Light appeal in style with a £3,000 donation.
The Mary Stevens Hospice, in Hagley Road, Stourbridge, receives a donation from the Dudley every year, based on the amount of cash saved by the Society's Save & Sponsor savings account holders.
The Tree of Light Service took place at the Hospice on December 3 and will be on display until January 6 next year.
Ann Isherwood, head of fundraising at Mary Stevens Hospice, said: "The appeal is a wonderful way for people to make a donation and dedicate a light either in memory of a loved one or as a gift to a family member or friend.
"Dudley Building Society's donation has given the appeal a fantastic start."
