AT their April meeting the Wall Heath Guild welcomed Patricia Boyd as their speaker. She gave an entertaining account of the history of Bantock House in Wolverhampton and mentioned the various owners. Her slides gave an indication of the interest to be found in the house, gardens and grounds. She was thanked on our behalf by Barbara Chinery. Following this Barbara, as secretary, read her minutes of the March meeting and Shirley Evans, treasurer, brought us up to date with her financial statement.
Members were invited to join the committee, as new ideas are always appreciated. Pat Sutton detailed the walks that the ramblers had made in the past weeks and announced that there would be a 'Fifth Wednesday'' at the end of May. A Magic and Music Concert will take place at the Community Centre on 29th September. The sponsored walk will support the White House Charity.
Jan Brockhouse ran the raffle and the winners were Shirley Brough, Judith King and Brenda Shakespeare. The subject of the speaker at the May meeting will be ' Hats''.
