Kingswinford E Town Guild

THE meeting took place at Kingswinford Community Centre at 7.30 pm. There were 38 members in attendance and 30 visitors.

The Chairman Sylvia Taylor opened the meeting by greeting every one.

She went on to say that the AGM had been a great success with the new format. She also remarked that the Cheese and Wine supper which followed went down very well.

Members were reminded of dates for their diaries. Firstly the Federation Luncheon at The Mill at Alverley on the 30th of July.

Wednesday the 3rd of October The Federation Harvest Supper at The Village Hall Wollaston.

The Autumn Fair which will be held at Stourbridge Town Hall on Saturday 3rd of November.

The interguild quiz will be at Stourbridge Football Club in November.

Following the business, a Fashion Show followed by Jan's Fashions _ Kinver. There were thirty visitors to the guild to support the event. Along with existing members a very pleasant evening was greatly enjoyed.

The show was very well presented with Ann Cooper introducing the models and describing the content of clothing and accessories to a magnificent detail.

The models displayed the items with flair & style. Beautiful summer wear, evening wear and wedding outfits with exquisite hats. Following the meeting refreshments were taken.

It was a relaxed a very nice evening.

The raffle was won by Jean Bubb. Ena Baker and Marie Allport.

The next Guild meeting will be on June 11th. With Derek Smith speaking on My Life in Television.

Any one wishing to attend will be most welcome.
