  • Wordsley Flower Club

    AT our meeting in April 2007 we were entertained by Mrs Yvonne Riley with a demonstration entitled "A Night at the Opera". The flowers were beautiful, and set the scenes for some of her favourite operas from La Traviata to Carmen. I believe we all learnt a little more of the world of opera. read more

    THE monthly meeting took place at Wall Heath Community Centre, Enville Rd Wall Heath on Tuesday 1st of May at 7.30pm. For the May meeting there was no speaker due to it being the occasion of the annual plant sale. Plants which were previously ordered and paid for were collected by members. read more

  • Wall Heath E Townswomens Guild

    AT their April meeting the Wall Heath Guild welcomed Patricia Boyd as their speaker. She gave an entertaining account of the history of Bantock House in Wolverhampton and mentioned the various owners. Her slides gave an indication of the interest to be found in the house, gardens and grounds. She was thanked on our behalf by Barbara Chinery. Following this Barbara, as secretary, read her minutes of the March meeting and Shirley Evans, treasurer, brought us up to date with her financial statement. read more

    DUE to the Village Hall being used for election purposes, our May meeting was held at the home of our secretary, Aurdrey Walton. Due to our leader Jenny Edwards being ill, the meeting was also led by Audrey. read more
