    PEDMORE WI held its annual summer social at its meeting on June 11. The business was conducted first, the previous discussion of the National Resolution to go to the AGM in the Albert Hall, London was supported by everyone. read more

  • Kinver Floral Art Club

    THIS month's meeting was opened by Chairman Mary Yeates who announced tickets for the clubs coffee evening on Tuesday 14th August were now available priced £2 to include a bring & buy sale as well as light refreshements. The venue this year will be the home of clubs'Treasurer Mrs Mavis Phillips. read more

  • Hagley Historical and Field Society

    THE society's social evening was held on Friday May 25. Proceedings began with Mr K Hughes presenting a talk on the history of Cadburys and Bournville, illustrated with slides. read more

  • Clent Mothers’ Union

    OUR June meeting was opened with our usual short act of worship. Leader Jenny Edwards gave out apologies received and followed with a number of notices for our branch. read more

    DURING the month of June Soroptimist International, Stourbridge Club celebrated their 60h Diamond Anniversary. read more

  • Black Country CEC

    AFTER the initial launch of the Black Country Constructing Excellence Club at Stourbridge College's ATC centre in April, and following their first monthly event at Wolverhampton University in May, the club has now set itself a challenging event in June - running a trade fair for both the industry and schools and colleges. read more

  • Hagley Flower Arrangement Soc

    AT our meeting in May Irene Tonks, vice chairman, welcomed Clair Bond who entertained us with an excellent demonstration entitled a Night at the Theatre providing us with many very helpful tips. read more

  • Kinver Village WI

    IT was panic stations at our June meeting when it looked as though we would be without a speaker. She was having problems with her car but the RAC came to the rescue and she did arrive in the nick of time, much to the committee's relief. read more
