Run by the Hodgetts family who have been in the area since 1868, the store now boasts more brands in larger quantities, better access and ample customer parking.

A goods to car service is available to lighten the load and a delivery service can even transport purchases right to you door - perfect for those who are short on time.

Keeping an eye on trends and following Jamie Oliver's revelations at the beginning of the year, the Hodgetts stock a large range of poultry supplies due to popular demand - something many general pet food stores fail to offer - while a range of accessories covers everything from cages to leads for rodents, cats and dogs, and hay, straw and haylage are available for purchase on site.
