POPULAR male voice choir the Gentlemen Songsters will be joined on the concert platform by international pianist Jean Martyn for their next charity performance in April.
Jean plays a vast range of music extending from classical to jazz and modern dance and has played with greats like the James Last Orchestra and Ronnie Scott.
She lives in Codsall and has toured in the USA, Germany, Italy, Holland and Switzerland, moving effortlessly from grand piano to electronic keyboard and even the mighty 1930s wurlitzers.
Songsters publicity secretary David Spinks described her arrangements of 1940s music as "magnificent" and said audiences were "spellbound by her vivacious manner, bubbly spirit and mischievous manner."
He added: "Whether you enjoy the classics or maybe like them a little on the lighter side, enjoy a stomp from the big band era, the gentle tones of a ballard, a Kenneth Alford march, a minuet, or a hit tune from the latest West End production - Jean plays them all, with the same flawless delivery."
The family concert at Dudley Concert Hall on Saturday April 5, will be compered by the witty Mel Thomas. Tickets are £10 and are available from the ticket hotline on 01384 838863 or Dudley Council Plus on 01384 812812.
