A STOURBRIDGE venue is getting set for a festival with a host of top performers from around the region.

Katiesfest 2010 at Katie Fitzgerald’s on Enville Street promises a mix of live music on two stages washed down with a selection of real ales.

All-girl trio One Sixth of Tommy are set to show why they are being tipped for success when they play the acoustic marquee at 5pm on Saturday May 29.

The girls, who hail from Brierley Hill, are putting the finishing touches to their debut album which has been produced by Chris Hughes, who has worked with Paul McCartney, Robert Plant and Tears For Fears.

One Sixth of Tommy play ambient acoustic pop and are also making an impact on the live scene after playing their first London gig earlier this week.

Katiesfest starts on Saturday and runs for two days featuring shows from artists including Jess Jones, Tom Lloyd, James Rees, Darwin and the Dinosaur, Fiorentina, Bad Weather Party, BSN [4:20], Science Vs Romance, Ian Cole, Left for Red and Our Innocence Lost.
