Chef shows off fusion of culinary skills

A chef from Rowley Regis is jetting out to Banglesdesh - to show off his curry cooking skills.

Shahidur Rahman, Master chef for the Raj Spice, Halesowen Street, has been selected as one of five British Super Curry Chefs' and will be taking his curry dishes to the International British Fusion Food Festival.

The chefs were required to create a menu to fit under the banner of British Fusion Food and design dishes which combine the authentic with contemporary.

The festival will be held from November 4 - 7 and will also see the launch of a recipe book, containing a collection of recipes by the participating chefs.

Mr Rahman, said: "I'm very excited to be taking part.

"I have cooked in various competitions, but a showcase event like this will be a real challenge."
