1979 Dudley Mod band The Circles are reforming for a number of live dates in 2015 following renewed interest in the band after the release of a 4 Disc Box set called 'Millions Like Us' which chronicles the music and bands from the 1979 Mod Revival period and features The Circles most popular song 'Opening Up'.

The Circles were formed in 1979 by lead Vocalist/Guitarist Mick Walker who still lives in Dudley and signed to local Record label 'Graduate' alongside stable mates UB40.

Graduate released the bands first single 'Opening Up/cw Billy' which reached number 3 in the Indie charts during which time the band embarked on a national tour to promote the release. After numerous sell out gigs at Wolverhampton's Lafayette venue it wasnt long before major label Chrysalis came knocking and soon after 2nd single 'Angry Voices' was released which sold over 20,000 copies and gigs alongside UB40, Tom Robinson, The Lambrettas and many more were in the diary .

A UK tour followed but without warning mid tour the band split up and by 1981 The Circles were no more.

The band reformed briefly in 1999 for the 20th Anniversary of the Mods Mayday Album but the band remained dormant except for their songs featuring on Mod Compilation albums over the years.

In November 2014 Mick Walker was asked to do an interview with RTE radios Jacqui Carroll for her Ready Steady GO! show to talk about the release of 'Millions Like Us' which featured The Circles 'Opening Up.

In 2015 Mick reformed The Circles to answer the call from a number of quarters for the band to play at events around the UK starting at Fixxion Warehouse in Wolverhampton on May 9th alongside DJ Jacqui Carroll and with requests to play in Japan and Spain the popularity of The Circles shows no sign of waining.
