A STOURBRIDGE singer-songwriter is taking a break from his London Marathon preparations to host a fundraising musical evening.

Chris Passey will head to London later in April to run the 26 miles around the capital’s streets, but to help raise extra funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the music man will headline his own show in Quarry Bank.

Singing For Multiple Reasons – An Evening with Chris Passey & Friends, will feature a number of live performances, including a band lead by musical director Richard Skilbeck.

Chris said: “The concert promises to be a fun-filled evening of stunning musical performances with guests including the students of the Birmingham Institute of Theatre Arts as well as other surprises all raising money for my London Marathon fund.”

The evening will take place from 7.30pm on Friday, April 8, in the Hardwick Theatre, at Thorns Community College.

Tickets, costing £10, can bought on the door, or money can be directly given to the MS Society online at uk.virginmoneygiving.com/runningformultiplereasons, stating in the comments who the tickets are for.
