A POPULAR band with members from Kidderminster are set to delight audiences with a free concert in Stourbridge this weekend.
The Alveley Village Band, based in Bridgnorth, will be perform at the bandstand in Mary Stevens Park in Stanley Road, Stourbridge on Sunday, July 3 from 2.30pm.
Their programme will see them perform music on the themes of Summer Nights, a Beatles Medley and Disco Lives.
There will also be pieces including Les Miserables, English Folksong Suite, plus some military marches such as Armed Forces on Parade and Old Comrades.
Members of the band have also been invited to perform solos as part of the Coal Mining Heritage weekend-and that will take place at the Seven Valley Country Park at Alveley, on Saturday (July 2).
Visitors will be able to catch them there between 12noon and 1pm in the Severn Valley Country Park Visitor Centre Education Room in Chapel Lane. People can find out more about these performances by calling 01746 781192.
