PIANISTS will be gathering at St James' Church, Wollaston, tomorrow (Saturday September 24) for an evening of piano music written by British composers.

Stourbridge based composers Tony Bridgewater and Edward Caine will be playing their own compositions at the concert - organised by Stourbridge-based not-for-profit musical group Local & Live.

As well as piano arrangements of Proms favourites, Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance March and Butterworth's Banks of Green Willow, the event will also feature music by Birmingham born Albert Ketelbey.

Local & Live chairman Graham Smith said "Our concert brings together eight highly experienced and talented local pianists, and we have chosen a programme that covers everything from popular Victorian and Edwardian music to brand new compositions. So there will be something for everyone to enjoy."

The concert starts at 7.30pm at the Bridgnorth Road church.

Tickets are available on the door, priced £9. Admission is free for anyone under 18.
