TINKERS Farm Opera is bringing a seasonal treat to music lovers this December.

The company, which is now based at Stourbridge Town Hall after a move from Birmingham, will perform the rare Christmas cantata Night of Miracles as part of an evening of music and readings on Saturday December 3.

The choral piece, composed in the late 1950s by John W Peterson, tells the Christmas story through harmony and narration.

Tinkers Farm publicity manager Diane Hingley said: “We will be performing it alongside many old favourites and some surprising new material and of course there will be the opportunity for the audience to join in with some well-known carols to get us all in the Christmas spirit.”

The performance starts at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £10 (£8 concessions) and are available from Melanie Griffiths on 01562 886473 or 07584 071571 or 142 Worcester Road, Hagley DY9 0NR.

Meanwhile - the company is looking to recruit new members for its forthcoming production of Fiddler on the Roof which will run in May 2017.

A launch event for prospective new members, interested in principal or chorus roles, will be held at The Green Room at the Cornbow Hall, Halesowen, on Monday November 28 at 7.30pm.
