THE National Flute Orchestra will be performing at the next Local and Live concert in Stourbridge next weekend.

Based in Birmingham but comprising players from all over the country - the orchestra will perform arrangements of the Blue Danube Waltz and Scarborough Fair, plus a selection of contemporary English and American flute music, at the event at St James's Church, Wollaston, on Saturday November 19.

There will also be a performance of a newly-published composition by the orchestra's conductor - Stourbridge-based musician, Tony Bridgewater.

The concert, organised by not-for-profit group Local and Live, starts at 7.30pm.

Tickets, priced £9, are available on the door - and admission is free for anyone under 18.
