STEVE Harley's set to stop off in the Black Country with his acoustic trio following a summer of outdoor rock shows.

Best known for his work with 1970s rock group Cockney Rebel with whom he still occasionally tours, the singer-songwriter who is still in top gear after a career spanning four decades will be performing an intimate acoustic show at The Robin 2 in Bilston, near Wolverhampton, on Monday November 28, from 8.30pm.

Steve, who worked as a newspaper reporter in Essex and east London before turning to music, will be accompanied by virtuoso players and long-standing Cockney Rebel members, James Lascelles on piano/percussion and Barry Wickens on violin/guitar/mandolin at the Mount Pleasant music venue for a show which promises to feature an array of hits, fan favourites and plenty of improvisation.

Tickets for the gig, which is all-seated, are £22.50 in advance from the box office on 01902 401211 or online at www.therobin.co.uk - or £25 on the doors which open at 7.30pm.
