SINGER, TV and radio star Aled Jones will be joining Kingswinford's Gentlemen Songsters Male Voice Choir at their 60th anniversary concert this weekend.
Having shot to fame as a young boy when his rendition of Walking in the Air became the soundtrack to 1980s animated classic The Snowman, Aled has gone on to enjoy a top TV career - presenting shows such as Songs of Praise, Daybreak, Cash In The Attic and Escape To The Country.
And on Saturday September 23 he will be singing alongside the 70-strong Songsters at Dudley Town Hall at their annual concert in aid of the Mayor of Dudley's chosen charities.
The proceeds from the event, a special 60th anniversary Songsters' Diamond Collection outing, will go to Dudley Mind, the YMCA and Dudley Alzheimer’s Society.
Good Morning Britain’s Phillipa Tomson, a TV presenter and journalist originally from Stourbridge, will be compering the evening - which will feature of a host of popular songs from the last 60 years.
Tickets range from £18 to £25.
