David Beckham did it, and so did Kanye West.

In fact a whole host of celebrity men have tried ‘the look’ out.

Yes, we’re talking about stars who decided to bring braids back.

And now (sigh) Formula One star Lewis Hamilton is the latest star to try out the look.

But does it suit him, or should be make a dash for his Formula One helmet to hide his hair scare?

We look at a few reasons Lewis should not have explored braids:

1. Because even David Beckham admitted it was one of his WORST hair disasters yet.

Talking about his various hairstyles he told Graham Norton: “Some of them have been really bad. I hadn’t thought them through. The topknot wasn’t too bad but the cornbraids were a bad decision.”

See, Lewis?

2. Because when even THE GREATEST POP STAR ON EARTH, ahem, Kanye West, decides they aren’t cool anymore, then they are not cool. Got it?

3. Now if you wear any of your famous caps you’ll be covering up your new hairdo. Pointless, really.

4. The haters are gonna hate… but we guess it’s up to Lew if he’s bothered or not.

Some of the comments alongside the new pic are: “Yet another fashion disaster!”, “This is a joke hair style ppl taking this way too serious he just messing about he ain’t….” and “noooooooooo ! Plz go back to the previous one !!!”

So there you have it.

We think that’s your helmet we hear calling your name, begging to be worn…
