One Direction and Jack White are on the headliner list for the iTunes Festival later this year.

They will be among the acts playing more than 30 consecutive nights of free shows at London's Roundhouse in September.

Also in the first batch of major names to be announced are Usher and Norah Jones.

Harry Styles from One Direction - who play on September 20 - said: "We can't wait to see our fans at the festival.

"Every year we see some of our favourite bands and artists on the bill so to be part of the line-up this year is obviously incredibly exciting and we're hugely grateful for the opportunity."

Former White Stripes frontman Jack has previously appeared at the festival as a guest, alongside his Dead Weather bandmate Alison Mosshart and Led Zeppelin last year when they joined Seasick Steve.

He makes his debut in his own right on September 8.

The events are free to competition winners, and are also streamed live.
