Andie McDowell will play a judge in her new TV show
Andie MacDowell is to star as Judge Olivia Lockhart in a new TV show.
The Four Weddings and a Funeral star will be a pioneer for the Hallmark Channel, starring in the network's first prime-time series.
The new series is based on the Cedar Cove books by Debbie Macomber about a small town family court judge.
Movie adaptations of Debbie's books have been among the top-rated programmes that Hallmark has shown over the past three years.
The series will start with a two-hour movie airing later this year and continue with a 13-episode series early in 2013.
