CAMPAIGNING comic Mark Thomas brings the third part of his theatrical trilogy to Birmingham's MAC next week.
The multi award-winning, critically-acclaimed shows Bravo Figaro and Cuckooed kicked things off and the trilogy concludes with The Red Shed, which is touring nationwide this autumn.
Part theatre, stand-up, journalism, activism - the 60-minute show, which won praise at this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival, tells of the battle for hope and the survival of a community in the small wooden Red Shed labour club in Wakefield.
The Shed was the venue for Thomas's first public performances and where the comic's political awakenings began and to mark its 50th anniversary he returned to interview old friends and comrades and piece together the club's history.
Directed by Joe Douglas and being staged in association with West Yorkshire Playhouse - The Red Shed runs at 7pm and 9.30pm on Tuesday October 18 and 7pm on Wednesday October 19.
Tickets cost £12 (£8 concessions) and are available on 0121 446 3232 or online at https://macbirmingham.co.uk/
