TV comic Lee Nelson will bring his tour to Dudley later this year.

Over the last few years, the comedian's high-profile stunts have hit the headlines, including fooling Simon Cowell by faking his way onto a live audition for Britain’s Got Talent dressed as a Jewish orthodox rapper.

He has also thrown fake bank notes at former FIFA president Sepp Blatter and sabotaged the re-opening of Donald Trump’s golf course in Scotland as the US president was making a speech.

The comic, real name Simon Brodkin, has decided to extend his current tour show, titled Serious Joker, due to popular demand and has added a date at Dudley Town Hall on December 1.

Tickets cost £20 plus booking fee and will go on sale on Friday (April 7).

Alex Jackson, promoter and booker for the Dudley Borough Halls, said: “We are absolutely delighted that Lee Nelson has chosen Dudley Town Hall as one of the venues for his latest tour show, which is getting rave reviews all over the country.

“He is often in the headlines for sneaking into places he shouldn’t be. But now people in the borough can come and see him where he most definitely should be – live on stage and doing what he does best.

“Lee Nelson is one of a number of big names appearing as part of a very exciting programme of live comedy at Dudley borough halls this year, and we would urge people to snap up tickets quickly when they go on sale on Friday to avoid disappointment.”

A few tickets are still remaining for Jasper Carrott’s Stand Up & Rock double date at Dudley Town Hall on April 21and 22.

Limited tickets are also remaining for two shows at Stourbridge Town Hall – Doreen’s Grand Night Out on April 24 and 25 and Russell Kane’s Right Man, Wrong Age on April 30.

Jenny Eclair will be talking about How To Be A Middle Aged Woman (Without Going Insane) at Dudley Town Hall on May 18, while critically acclaimed grouchy Canadian comic Rich Hall is at Stourbridge the following night on May 19.

For fans of one-liner comedy, two of the very best will be coming to the borough to perform in September.

Mock The Week star Gary Delaney will be performing his tour show There’s Something About Gary at Stourbridge Town Hall on September 16 and Milton Jones is putting on his latest show, Milton Jones Is Out There, at Dudley Town Hall on September 29.

Paul Chowdhry will perform Live Innit at Dudley Town Hall on October 12 and Matt Forde, star of his own show Unspun on Dave, will present It’s My Political Party (And I’ll Cry If I Want To) at Stourbridge Town Hall on October 27.

Rounding off the year will be the return of Jethro, who will be performing The Bull & Bonkers Tour at Dudley Town Hall on December 7.
