STOURBRIDGE bluesman Ian Parker is taking a new direction for 2009 with a series of small scale shows.
Ian is taking a break from his usual line-up to create a more intimate experience for his fans by performing duets in small venues.
He will be kicking off his latest series of gigs with pianist Morg Morgan, playing new songs plus tunes from his back catalogue.
In February and March, Ian will be performing duo shows with Steve Amadeo on double bass, and others with Chris Eaton on slide guitar.
Ian said: “I played some shows in New York in the summer with double bassist, Brian Killeen, which I really enjoyed, and I know it will be great to do this again with Steve.
“Chris is one of my favourite guitarists, and his slide playing in particular is out of this world.”

Ian will be back on the road with his full band later in the year.
