Dudley Town Hall was buzzing with anticipation before psychic Sally Morgan took to the stage last Thursday.

The nervous excitement was obvious throughout the venue, which was packed with men and women of all ages hoping to get a message from a loved one that had passed.

I must admit, I wasn’t entirely convinced that any members of my family would miraculously make themselves known to the popular TV medium but I went with an open mind, hoping I’d witness something spectacular.

After the glamorous psychic briefly explained to the audience how her “gift” works, she got the show on the road although it wasn’t the best start.

The first few spirits that materialised didn’t appear to be ring a bell with anyone in the audience, which was slightly awkward.

Luckily it wasn’t too long before people started cautiously raising their hands.

The majority of links that connected said spirits with the audience seemed a bit tedious, with the odd name and age ringing true and messages seemed to lack any real meaning.

But she did hit the nail on the head with one woman - Morgan revealed the name of her deceased neighbour and went on to describe a distinguishing feature in her garden and gave the name of her dog - without being given any leads.

This was probably a huge coincidence but I’m not ruling out the possibility that Morgan does possess slight psychic abilities at best.

The evening was certainly an experience but I’m not sure it is one I will repeat.
