STOURBRIDGE is set for laughs this year as a monthly comedy show announces its line-up for the first half of 2015.

Kum-n-avaloff runs on the first Thursday of the month at Stourbridge Town Hall and features comedy circuit regulars as well as up-and-coming talent.

Previous comedians who have brought their own brand of humour to the town’s stage include Alan Carr, Stephen K Amos, Patrick Monaghan, Reginald D Hunter and Hal Cruttenden.

At Thursday night's performance, New Zealand comic Sully O'Sullivan will be joined by Alexander Keeley and Masai Graham, runner up in Midlands Comedian of the Year, while next month's acts include Edinburgh Fringe star Gerry K and James Bran.

Phil Chapman, Thomas Rackham and sketch performer Kiri Pritchard-Mclean will be live in April, with Liverpool Echo’s Comedian of the Year R David and Glen Maney confirmed for May.

Audiences can see John Newton, Rob Coleman and Maxine Jones on June 4, and in July it’s Show Me the Funny contestant and former steelworker Alfie Moore, alongside Jay Handley and Marshall Anderson.

Dudley Councillor Hilary Bills, cabinet member for environment and culture, said: “This is a fantastic line-up, with experienced acts as well as new performers cutting their comedy teeth.

“Kum-n-avaloff is great value for money and always an enjoyable night out.”

Later in the year, Mock The Week star Gary Delaney will be on the bill, as will character comedian Tom Binns.

Tickets for the show, which runs from 8pm until 10.30pm – and is not suitable for under 18s – cost £8 and includes a curry, with vegetarian option available.
