BRUMMIE comedienne and TV actress Jo Enright is getting set to headline a night of laughs at Stourbridge Rugby Club.

Jo will be a familiar face to many having appeared on a number of popular programmes including Phoenix Nights and The Job Lot, but the Erdington stand-up will appear at Stourton Park as part of a special night of comedy from 7.30pm on Friday, February 10.

Jo will be supported on the night by fast-rising Northern star Rob Mulholland, tipped by many as one to watch, while the night will be hosted by Dudley’s Wayne Beese, who runs and comperes the award-winning Fitz of Laughter Comedy Club in Wollaston.

Wayne, 36, said it promised to be a night not to be missed. He added: “Jo will be well known to many for her telly appearances, but she has also been one of the leading lights on the comedy circuit for years and years.

“I remember seeing her for the first time at the Glee Club in Birmingham, way before I became a comic, in what must have been 15 years ago now. I thought she was brilliant then and she is nothing short of hilarious whenever I see her.

“With Rob on the bill as well it promises to be a night packed with laughs.”

It will be the third year the club has hosted the annual fundraising comedy night, which last year saw headline act Black Country comic Jonny Cole receive a standing ovation from the crowd.
