YOU’LL be ‘Wilde’ to miss a special ‘chit-chat’ theatre show at Haden Hill House hosted by playwright Oscar Wilde.

Members of the public are cordially invited to Don't Go Into The Cellar Theatre Company’s witty 1890s show Tea with Oscar Wilde, which includes an afternoon tea to follow in the surroundings of the Victorian park.

Alison Hyatt, visitor services officer at the Cradley Heath museum, said: “The ever popular modern TV chat show is taken back over 100 years for the Victorian age and hosted by the acclaimed wit and playwright of the era, Oscar Wilde.

“Guests will include a selection of some of the ‘celebrities’ of the late Victorian period and as with modern chat shows will be packed full of gossip, song and humour – with a few surprises along the way.

“This promises to be a fabulous afternoon out.”

The show starts at 2.30pm on Sunday, September 17, and will be followed by drinks, sandwiches and cakes.

Tickets, which cost £15 per person and must be booked in advance, are available from the house from Monday (July 3). For more information call 01384 569444.
