A STOURBRIDGE-based actor will take on 20 different characters when his internationally renowned theatre group returns to The Bonded Warehouse next month.

The Forgotten Tales by theatre company Parable Arts will run at the Stourbridge venue at 7.30pm on Saturday March 3 after selling out arts festivals and theatres around the country.

The one-man play tells the stories of the myths and legends of the British Isles through a mixture of modern and folk music.

Jon Buckeridge, founder of the group and sole actor in the performance, said: "This production has definitely stretched me, as an actor, and taught me a lot about working with an audience to build entire worlds with just some stories and songs, and their imaginations.

"It is a really amazing moment when you look out at them and realise they're completely caught up in the story you're telling."

The actor will also play four different instruments and sing in three different languages.

The group last performed at the Canal Street venue in the run-up to the festive season last year with their sell-out and critically-acclaimed performance of A Christmas Carol.

Jon added: "I love performing at The Bonded Warehouse, it's a beautiful space that feels tailor-made for storytelling shows like this."
