Charities receive Easter eggs from kind-hearted employees

Virgin Media employees in Dudley will be going that eggstra mile this week to help local charities celebrate Easter.

Kind-hearted staff at the Brierley Hill-based contact centre have been busy collecting more than 700 Easter eggs to present to a number of charities across the West Midlands, including Barnados in Dudley and Wolverhampton, women's refuges in Walsall, Dudley and Wolverhampton, and Spurgoens, as well as Young Parents' Scheme.

Roberta Dryden, contact centre manager at Virgin Media, said: "It looks like the Easter bunny has already paid a visit to our office as we're overloaded with eggs. We've decided to donate them to the above charities because they are local causes close to our hearts and are very deserving."

Angee Jenkins, charity manager at the women's refuge, said: "We're so grateful for the support we've had from Virgin Media. It's always fantastic when a company's employees support those less fortunate than themselves. Their donations will certainly brighten up the children's day."
