Health advice over Easter
Clinicians in Dudley are preparing for the Easter bank holiday weekend by reminding people of services available to them when their GP is closed.
Dudley PCT has issued some tips on how to avoid having to go to hospital this week in an effort to help people get the treatment they need faster.
People who need treatment should consider -NHS Direct on 0845 46 47 which offers over the telephone advice and help at any time both day and night.
Anyone needing treatment can also contact GP Out-of-hours service on 0845 145 1800- which offers advice andaccess to a doctor if your GP practice is closed and you urgently need to see one
People can also talk to pharmacists in confidence and an appointment is not required.
Mark Cooke, Chief Executive of Dudley Primary Care Trust said "There are lots of services in place in Dudley for people to receive treatment over the holiday period. These community services have been designed to give the appropriate help quickly and effectively."
