Woodcraft Folk club kids enjoy day out thanks to charity donation

YOUNGSTERS from High Acres Woodcraft Folk group in Kingswinford were able to try out ski-ing and tobogganing – thanks to a £500 donation from a village store.
The charitable youth group, which lays on craft activities, games and camping and walking trips, was able to take 30 children aged five to nine on a trip to Telford snowboard and ski centre on Saturday (October 27) – thanks to the money donated by Vijay Bhatia at The Premier Village Stores on Madeley Road, High Acres, Kingswinford.
Group leader Peter Johnson said: “Without support from our local community our group would not be able to put on events such as this trip.”
The group, for youngsters aged five to 14, meets on Monday and Tuesday nights each week at Dingle Community Primary School, Madeley Road, Kingswinford.
