A CHARITY barn dance is being held at St James' Church Hall, Belfry Drive, Wollaston, this Friday (November 30) to help raise money for two charities that help the blind.

Mandy Woodall from Stourbridge and Sandra Amoroso from Kingswinford are organising the event to raise cash for Guide Dogs for the Blind and for sufferers of Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) as Mandy’s nephews - Zac Malone, aged eight, and his brother Joseph, aged 13, both have RP.

The condition is the same as that affecting legendary charity fundraiser Blind Dave Heeley from West Bromwich.

The event starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10 and include a ploughman’s snack.

They are available from Headroom Hairstylists, Enville Street, Stourbridge. To find out more call Toni Amoroso on 07850 776571.
