Quarry Bank choir gears up for festive concert

QUARRY Bank based choir Colla Voce will be presenting Handel’s Messiah at Christ Church in the town this weekend.
The choir, an offshoot of Quarry Bank Operatic Society led by musical director Richard Genner, will be performing at the High Street church on Saturday December 1 at 7.30pm.
Choir member Julia Siviter said: “This event will make a wonderful start to the Christmas season. It is the third time Colla Voce has performed the Messiah but the first time in Quarry Bank.
“We will be accompanied by an orchestra and light refreshments are included in the ticket price.”
