STOURBRIDGE author David Massey, whose debut novel Torn has become an Amazon bestseller, will be holding a question and answer session at the town's library next week.

The teen fiction writer, who was signed up by the man who discovered Harry Potter author JK Rowling, will also be signing copies of his book at the event being held in Stourbridge Library's newly refurbished teen section on Monday December 3 from 4.30pm to 5.30pm.

Torn, which tells the story of a British army medic in Afghanistan, has been shortlisted for the Coventry Inspiration Book Award and since its launch in the summer David has completed a ten-date tour of Waterstones and is currently touring schools and libraries across the Midlands.

He is also working on book number two for publishers Chicken House - founded by Barry Cunningham who set JK Rowling on the road to literary stardom.

His next novel will be another crisis led adventure - this time about a group of teens who set out on a charity yachting trip.
