Bev's charity music events rake in £21,000

BLACK Country musician Bev Pegg has celebrated raising more than £21,000 for a host of good causes over the last 15 years.

The popular singer and guitarist’s charity nights featuring his Good Time Jazz Gang and Cowboy Band have brought in £21,699 since 1998.

The latest annual charity jazz night, hosted by The Rotary Club of Stourbridge and featuring Bev Pegg and his Good Time Jazz Gang, raised around £1,200 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital and other Rotary charities.

Held at Hagley Community Centre in November - the event proved another sell-out evening for Bev and his bandmates Zoltan Sagi, Tony Pipkin, Martin Veasey, Roger Heeley, Len Thwaites and Ken Wright.

He said: “A great deal of thanks must go to The Rotary Club of Stourbridge who organise this event with wonderful efficiency.”
