LOVE will be in the air at Himley Hall on Sunday for couples looking to tie the knot.

The Dudley Council-run hall will be open from 11am until 4pm for brides and grooms-to-be to tour and see where royal newlyweds once honeymooned and princes and earls once strolled.

The 18th century moated manor house has two rooms which are licensed for civil ceremonies, which both overlook the hall’s terrace gardens and lake.

Throughout the free event Himley Hall’s wedding co-ordinators and catering team will be on hand to discuss options available to couples and registrars from the Staffordshire registration service will be able to guide couples through the civil ceremony process at Himley Hall.

Councillor Tracy Wood, cabinet member for environment and culture, said:“This is a wonderful opportunity to see behind the scenes of such a stunning building.

“People will be able to picture their perfect day as they tour the rooms and facilities, and I urge couples to come along and find out more.”
