DUDLEY Zoo’s Sumatran tiger, Daseep, has been having a ball in the snow this week.
The two year-old, who arrived at the zoo alongside Amur tiger, Tschuna, in February last year, couldn’t resist playing with snowballs with her keepers.
Head of media and communications, Jill Hitchman, said Daseep was thrilled with the recent snowfall, despite her species originating from tropical rainforests.
Jill said: "This is the first heavy snow Daseep has seen and keepers thought she would stay cosy in her heated den, but she couldn't wait to explore.
"Staff built her a snowman, which she demolished in minutes, then spent yesterday afternoon throwing snowballs which she absolutely loved catching with her paws."
