Nurses appeal for help to redecorate relatives' room

ACCIDENT and Emergency staff at Russells Hall Hospital are hoping kindhearted members of the public will help them carry out a much-needed redecoration of the ward’s relatives’ room.
Medics are hoping to raise around £3,000 towards furnishing the room with new sofas and tables and making the facility as comfortable as possible for relatives who may have to receive upsetting news about their loved one.
Emergency department matron, Briony Howells, said: “We provide a service for patients who need care, but also for relatives and loved ones as this time can be as equally distressing.”
