Celebrations for dancing Joe

A TEENAGE borough dancer is celebrating after his talented crew secured a place in the semi finals of TV competition Got to Dance.
Joe Priest, aged 19, is one fifth of Antics Dance Crew, who were put through to the next round of the popular Sky1 show last night (Sunday) by judges Diversity’s Ashley Banjo, former Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt and JLS singer Anton Merrygold.
The crew, made up of 19 year-old Oscar McDevitt from Tividale, 22 year-old Matthew Grieh, Nathan Marsh aged 22 and 21 year-old Jordan Breakspear, from Birmingham, are now preparing for a second shot in the semi’s in their bid for the £250,000 top prize, after making it to the show finals last year.
Joe, who is studying urban dance at the University of East London, said: “We were buzzing when we found out we had got through. The competition was a lot harder for us this year as the judges expected a lot more from us as we entered the competition as unknowns last time.”
The former Bromley Hills Primary and Crestwood School pupil is now travelling back home every weekend so the group can choreograph and rehearse a new routine ahead of their semi final showcase.
Joe added: “It is a bit stressful as we only have weekends to practice, so we work really hard. It’s tiring, but a lot of fun.”
