Kingswinford choir aims to give Mayor's charities a boost

The Mayor’s charities are in line for a few notes when a renowned Kingswinford choir takes to the stage later this year.

The Gentlemen Songsters Male Voice Choir is planning an evening of entertainment at Dudley Town Hall on March 23.

As well as top tunes from the popular choir - the concert will also include performances by Cotwall End Primary School choir and international concert keyboardist Jean Martyn, a finalist on TV’s Britain’s Got Talent in 2011.

The concert, which will be compered by Susie Riddell (Tracy Horrobin in Radio 4’s The Archers), will raise money for the Mayor’s charities - Diabetes UK: Stourbridge, Dudley and District Support Group, and Dudley Stroke Association.

Councillor Melvyn Mottram, Mayor of Dudley, said: “We always love to have the Gentlemen Songsters Male Voice Choir performing in Dudley because people are always guaranteed a great night out.

“I am particularly delighted that they are also raising money for my chosen charities which will help them continue the brilliant work they do.”
