DETECTIVES have released CCTV images of two people wanted in connection with a brutal attack in Stourbridge.

The victim needed 15 stitches after being repeatedly punched in the face during the attack which happened in the early hours behind Chicago's in the Ryemarket.

He also suffered two black eyes, cuts to the back of the head and severe swelling to his jaw after the brawl which began with an earlier argument in the bar.

Police are hoping the CCTV images will jog someone’s memory as the attack happened more than two months ago in the early hours of Sunday December 2.

Detective Constable Martin Wynn, who is leading the inquiry, said: "The victim had been in the bar with a friend a short time before he was assaulted.

"We know that he and his friend were deliberately antagonised by two other men inside the venue.

"All four were asked to leave by security staff and it was just after the men had left the club that the attack happened at around 2am.

"I'm keen to hear from anyone who either saw the assault or who recognises the two people in these images."

Anyone with information is asked to call Force CID in Harborne on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
