Wollaston residents invited to air views on park plans
3:00pm Tuesday 19th February 2013 in News
A PUBLIC consultation is being held this Saturday (February 23) on planned improvements for Swan Pool Park in Wollaston.
The Friends of the Park group at the South Road playing fields are encouraging residents and park users to attend an open day on the park from 11am to 2pm to share their opinions on plans to install new benches and a youth shelter.
A plan with illustrated options will be on display on the day.
Alternatively forms are available before February 23 from Costcutter, at the junction of Broadway and South Road, the Post Office on Bridgnorth Road, Wollaston, and the Co-op on the Broadway.
Councillor Tracy Wood, Dudley’s cabinet member for environment and culture, said: “This is a great opportunity for local people who use the park and live nearby to have their say on what improvements they would like to see. I would encourage people to either fill in one of the consultation forms or drop by on February 23.”
The group’s AGM will be held at the scout hut on South Road at 11am on Saturday March 2.
