Former Royal Ballet star steps in to help young Hagley performers

A FORMER Royal Ballet dancer has been helping to choreograph the routines in Hagley Theatre Group’s musical revue.

Alain Dubreuil, who has travelled the world as a principal dancer with the Royal Ballet, the London Festival Ballet and the Sadlers Wells Royal Ballet, has been helping members of the youth section with dance routines for songs including All That Jazz from Chicago and Step in Time from Mary Poppins.

The show, which will also feature song and dance numbers from the likes of Oliver!, Fiddler on the Roof, The Sound of Music, Phantom of the Opera, Sweeney Todd, Chess, Grease and Annie, will take place at Hagley Community Centre, off Worcester Road, on Friday March 1 and Saturday March 2.

Performances start at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £8 (£6 concessions) and are available from Hagley shop Paddocks Butchers or by calling 07907 457217.
