Sunday’s I Will wedding show was the highlight of the season so far, as more than 200 prospective brides and grooms attended Sixways Stadium, home of Worcester Warriors Rugby Club.

Accompanied by family and friends, they were able to seek inspiration from more than 60 exhibitors who covered the full range of wedding ideas from flowers, fashion and fireworks to cars, cakes and even a cartoonist.

The I Will wedding shows – run by the people behind local newspapers such as The Shuttle, Bromsgrove Advertiser, Redditch Advertiser, Stourbridge News, Halesowen News and Dudley News – bring together an array of services under one roof. This means couples and their families and friends can spend a relaxed and enjoyable day collecting ideas and contacts to help create the perfect wedding.

Sunday also included two professional catwalk shows organised by The Fashion Show Company, featuring wedding fashion from local boutiques. These included Bridal Boutique of Worcester, sponsor of the I Will events, and visitors could also enter a prize draw to win a dream bridal gown from the boutique. Several couples who had also attended the weekend’s NEC Wedding Show made a point of praising the I Will event for its welcoming atmosphere, free admission and parking, and variety of exhibitors from the immediate area.

Exhibitor Jo Barrios, of Izzy Wizzy Sweetiz in Droitwich, was particularly pleased with the day’s success: “We had a really good day, with lots of genuine enquiries and visitors engaging us in conversation. We are very happy with the I Will shows – they are organised like a military operation, which makes life so much easier for exhibitors!”

After a break for Mothering Sunday, there are two I Will shows on Sunday, March 17 – at The Copthorne Hotel in Dudley and Dumbleton Hall near Evesham – both packed with all manner of wedding essentials. Both events run between 11am and 3.30pm, and with plenty of free parking available, you can spend as long as you like browsing the stands. Don’t forget to enter the free prize draw!
