A KINGSWINFORD man has been putting pen to paper to tell how gnomes found a home of their own.

Davy Turner, who works as a tour guide at Bodenham Arboretum in Wolverly, has written a book telling a fictional tale of how the little folks came to live at the beauty spot.

The book, called The Boden Gnomes, will be launched at the Arboretum on Easter Monday (April 1).

Gnome ranger Davy, aged 59, from Kingsley Road, said: "We think children and grown-ups alike will enjoy the tale and reading the Boden Gnomes adventures. A percentage of book sales will go to BBC's Children in Need appeal at the end of the season."

A summer season of Boden Gnome hunt events will be held at the Arboretum during the summer holidays, starting on Saturday June 1.
