STUDENTS at Summerhill School in Kingswinford are gearing up to bring to life Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novel Wyrd Sisters.

Youngsters at the Lodge Lane school are due to perform the show to parents and friends on Wednesday March 13, Thursday March 14 and Friday March 15 at 7pm.

Around 30 students are involved in the production, which borrows from Shakespeare’s Macbeth and which is based on Pratchett’s 1988 fantasy novel about three witches who find themselves dragged into royal politics.

Richard Compton, head of drama, said: “The students have been working very hard and given up their weekends and half term to attend extra rehearsals.

“We chose this particular production because it is a funny, light-hearted period play that the students could really get stuck into.”

Tickets for the show cost £4 (£3.50 concessions) and they are available on 01384 816165.
