FOOTIE fans are being urged to help a Wollaston school support players on the other side of the world.
Stourbridge FC is asking for people to give everyday clothing and sports kit for donation by Ridgewood High School's Project Gambia team to african non-league club Sintet United.
Staff and students from Ridgewood will be heading for Gambia at Easter and hope to take donated items with them to hand over to the club.
Ridgewood head teacher, Clive Nutting, said: “We were pleased and proud last year to be able to hand Stourbridge FC’s generous kit donation to Sintet United.
"The players and officials were thrilled that for the first time they had full kit as a team and they have evidently put it to good use since then.”
Anyone wishing to donate should take items to Stourbridge FC's war memorial ground in Amblecote ahead of their game against Weymouth FC, which kicks off at 3pm on Saturday March 16.
