Kingswinford crash man named

A 74-YEAR-OLD man killed in a two car crash near Kingswinford has been named.

Norman Higgins, who lived at Hinksford Mobile Home Park, Kingswinford, died after the grey Fiat Stylo he was driving hit a grey MG ZR car in Hinksford Lane, near Swindon, between Wombourne and Kingswinford, at around 8.50am on Tuesday (March 19).

Mr Higgins, who had been driving towards Swindon, was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident – near to Hinksford Garden Centre.

A 44-year-old woman, who had been driving the MG ZR in the opposite direction, did not require hospital treatment.

Hinksford Lane was closed until 11.45am while officers carried out examinations and cleared the road.

Witnesses, particularly people who saw the Stylo ahead of the crash, are urged to call Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 103 of March 19.
