TIDY Stourbridge volunteers are urging people to show more pride in their town.
The group meet twice every month to clean up increasing amounts of discarded rubbish scattered about the town.
Spokesman Dave Colley claimed: “I just wish people would stop and think before they drop their litter.
“We cleaned up an area in Stourbridge known as Lion Passage just six weeks ago.
“I drove past it yesterday and you wouldn’t have thought we’d cleaned it at all. It does get very disheartening”.
“We used to meet once a month at first, but now it’s every fortnight, on average, there’s about 15 of us, but we’ve got enough equipment for 25."
The volunteers meet on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month.
They commence their Spring schedule on Wednesday April 10, meeting at the Saltbrook Inn, Hayes Lane, Lye at 6.30pm.
Their subsequent meetings will be at The Glassworks, Wordsley, (April 24), The Ten Arches, Penfields, (May 8), Bird in Hand, Wordsley, (May 22), Top Bell, Lye, (June 12), The Queensway, Wollescote, (June 26), The Royal Oak, Amblecote, (July 10) and The Duke William, Coventry Street, (July 24).
